ETXC Varsity Camp – Park City, UT

July 18 – August 9, 2026

You must be enrolled and have participated fully in the 2026 summer conditioning program (including 3 to 4 days a week of preseason training for returners during the weeks of CIF Dead Period) to receive an invitational from the coaching staff. Your training log must be up to date each day.

Invitations are determined based upon the criteria listed above and based upon the results of the 2-mile time trial occurring on July 9th. A makeup time trial will be scheduled a week before (a 15-second penalty will be added to those missing the original time trial). Athletes will be invited based on the following:

  • Time trial performance. Your TT finish position alone will not guarantee an invite.
  • Improvements over the previous year.
  • Summer program participation (and participation in prior seasons for returning athletes).  Athletes may not have missed more than 6 practice days.
  • The training log must be up to date on XC Stats.
  • All invited runners must turn in a Permission Form along with payment ASAP, but no later than 3 days before departure
The camp itinerary and activities are to be announced!

This year, student-athletes will have the opportunity to earn a full or partial scholarship to Varsity Camp on behalf of the generous support of Mr. Follman. Last year, 25 student-athletes met the full scholarship requirements for Varsity Camp held in Mammoth Lakes, CA. They received an all-expenses paid trip (except for some daily meals) provided by Mr. Follman. Nine other student-athletes received a partial scholarship to the camp, courtesy of Mr. Follman, worth $600.

This year, Mr. Follman has offered to sponsor a 3-week trip to Park City, UT, for the team to run at elevation in a national class training environment. For those qualifying for the scholarship, all expenses will be paid (which includes transportation, lodging, team activities and meals). This is a once in a lifetime training opportunity. A small group of girls and boys will be selected to attend this trip compared to prior years.
