Team Camp Area: Our camp will be set up near Parking Lot O. One of the last parking lots on the far east side of the park. Coyote Corner Group Area.
Parking: $3. Turn right once you pay and enter the park. Drive all the way down to the east end of the park. There will be parking monitors present to guide you to available parking. Please do not park in undesignated locations, including the side of the road or along the curb within a parking lot.
Mandatory Meet for Everyone. If you are unable to compete with an excused absence (see team policy for excused vs. unexcused absences), you must volunteer to receive full class credit which is worth 10%. Your season ends two school days after League Finals, except for the top 12 athletes. Athletes moving on to winter sports will then be able to transfer out of XC on Monday, November 9th. Both teams will qualify for the post-season by being ranked in the top 13 (boys 13th as of Oct 28th) for 2 weeks no matter the results at League Finals. The top 12 runners at League Finals will automatically qualify for Varsity for CIF-SS post-season competition. The top 12 will continue to train (you must train to earn a varsity letter) for as long as the team continues to compete in CIF races (Prelims, Finals, State). Anyone not transferring into a winter sport will take a 2-week break starting the day before CIF Prelims and will restart and continue training again until the semester ends or continue training for Track & Field. You may try out for other events for Track & Field or you will be automatically enrolled in Track & Field if you choose to stay with the distance team and are in good standing.

Bus Schedule: 9:50 am departure, 5:15 pm return (early dismissal at 9:30 am)
Due to this being a school day, EVERYONE MUST RIDE THE BUS TO AND FROM THE RACE unless with prior approval by AD/Admin & Head Coach. The request must be submitted through XCStats “Planned Absence” 48 hours prior to the meet and submit a Transportation Exemption Form for approval. Not all requests will be approved.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a fantastic race venue that we have been using for many, many years. Please follow all guidelines and instructions by park staff and meet volunteers and be respectful to the park facilities and staff. Please also review the second page of the course map linked below and avoid any areas marked red during the day of the meet. If you observe any suspect behavior during the meet by anyone from any school, please report this to the coaching staff ASAP! Thank you for your cooperation!
