Coach’s Comments

Although this was not a race we pointed for this year, it was a competitive field that produced some solid performances.  Some of you lost contact and had difficulty.  In large fields, it is imperative to keep your teammates close and hang on to them.  It helps you stay focused and prevents large amounts of runners to gap your scoring teammates.  In large fields races scores are often very close.  In the varsity race we lost a team plaque by 3 points.  With everyone running close to their best a win was possible.  Our focus now is on our Cluster Meet which we must all be ready to show up to race on Thursday.
