Friday & Saturday – October 11 to October 12, 2019
YOU MUST BE ENROLLED BY JULY 10 AND PARTICIPATED FULLY IN THE SUMMER CONDITIONING PROGRAM TO GET AN INVITE. Invites are determined by Summer Training (based on training log on XCSTATS.com) and 1st 2 races of the season. 48 athletes will be invited based on a number of factors. Only the Top 10 boys and girls will receive an auto Invite. Being Top 24 will not guarantee an invite if you have missed a number of summer conditioning days. Additional runners may be invited based on their summer training log on XCSTATS.com and by coaches. The selection will not be solely based on your race times but more likely to be based on your participation and work ethic during the current season and past participations/performances for runners with similar marks.

It was another successful and fun trip to Fresno for the Clovis Invitational. This year we decided to sit out potential CIF athletes and do a workout on the course in prep for a long season. Response from those athletes was positive with comments like, “we really understand the course now…” Both teams are very close to being ready for the postseason! Rest of the team ran the race in hopes of coming back to run at the State Meet and making the CIF squad. All the boys had course PRs. Jayke Pastis and Anthony Keenen were once again tough with 11th and 17th place finishes with over 90 sec PRs. Spencer Kandel was our JV leader with Thomas Mannion. Both finished with close to a 2 min PR. On the girls’ side, first time of the course did not stop Madison Templeman and Paulette Dominguez from leading the Sophomore girls. Gia Sveda and Abigail Zertuche both with a mind-boggling 4:52 and 4:04 PRs. New freshman, Darla Medina showed she wasn’t afraid of the hills by finishing 4th for the Chargers. Very good sign for our varsity teams!!
